Christopher Henderson

Christopher Henderson joined the Albany State coaching staff in 2008 as a defensive backs and special teams coach. He returns after a stint with his alma mater Cairo High School where he coached defensive backs and special teams.  He has the same duties with the Golden Rams.

A former Golden Ram standout, Henderson played three seasons at the free safety position from 2002 until 2004.

A Cairo, Ga., native, Henderson recorded 110 career tackles (62 solos) and 21 pass breakups. He also had three interceptions for 52 yards during his career. Henderson, who on two SIAC championship teams, was a two-sport athlete. He participated with the track and field team, which won the SIAC championship in 2004. He competed in the long jump and triple jump events.

Henderson graduated from ASU in 2008 with degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. 

Henderson is married to the former Charlie Hill.  They have two daughters, Nadia Christine and Peytan Siniya Henderson and a son Christopher (CJ), who is two-years old.
