Albany, GA- The Albany State Department of Athletics announced on January 21, 2015 that Daniel Stockdale will serve as the interim head baseball coach for the 2015 season.
 
“We are pleased that Coach Stockdale has decided to join us here at Albany State,” ASU athletics director Dr. Richard H. Williams stated. “He brings a wealth of experience, and he will be a strong asset for our program and student-athletes.”
 
Stockdale served as an assistant baseball coach for Savannah State University. While at SSU, Coach Stockdale worked directly with catchers and assisted with the development of all hitters.
 
Prior to coaching at Savannah State, Stockdale served as head baseball coach at Pinecrest Academy. He also has assistant coaching and camp instruction experience at Temple University and Baseball U.
 
A native of Atlanta, Ga., Stockdale was a multi-sport athlete at Union Grove High School. After high school, he played both basketball and baseball collegiately at Truett-McConnell Junior College, and finished his career at Reinhardt University.
