Boone Webster begins his first year as pitching coach/recruiting coordinator at Albany State University.
Prior to coming to Albany State University, Webster spent five seasons at Darton State College. During his five years at Darton, the Cavalier pitching staff set six single season team records and four individual single season records. In five years under Webster's tutelage, 22 players went on to play at the four-year level, with one being a Major League Baseball 23rd round draft pick. The Cavaliers won back-to-back conference titles in 2015 and 2016, one district title, and made one NJCAA World Series appearance.
Head Coach Scot Hemmings says, "Coach Webster has played a major role in our success while we were at Darton State College and will continue his success at Albany State University. Coach Webster does an amazing job with the pitchers and has a natural eye for good players when he is on the recruiting trail.
“I truly believe that we would not have been where were without Coach Webster and his work ethic and dedication. He has and will continue to do an outstanding job as our pitching coach and recruiting coordinator."
