Lady Golden Rams Pull Away for 78–68 Road Win at Spring Hill

Mobile, Ala. — Albany State's Lady Golden Rams turned a tightly contested start into a confident 78–68 victory over Spring Hill College on Saturday afternoon. After the teams finished the first quarter deadlocked, Albany State settled in and took command, using balanced scoring, relentless rebounding, and defensive pressure to control the remainder of the game.

Na'Haviya Paxton and Sariah Johnson led the way with 16 points each, pacing an offense that shot an impressive 46.7 percent from the field. Paxton added five rebounds and four steals, while Johnson's efficiency (8-of-15 shooting) helped anchor Albany State's interior attack. Paris Triplett dominated the glass, pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with 12 points, providing the Lady Golden Rams with crucial second-chance opportunities.

Albany State's depth proved pivotal, with the bench contributing 26 points. Taliah Grier delivered 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting, and Khyla Ragins added 11 points, four assists, and steady playmaking. The Lady Golden Rams imposed their will inside, scoring 50 points in the paint, while their defense created offense with 25 points off turnovers and 14 fast-break points.

The Lady Golden Rams maintained composure throughout the contest, committing no technical fouls and executing efficiently down the stretch. Their consistent energy on both ends allowed Albany State to build separation and secure a strong conference road win.

Up next, Albany State continues to build momentum as the regular season enters its final stretch and the Lady Golden Rams return home to host Tuskegee University on Monday, February 16, inside Jones Brothers HPER Complex.
