Albany, Ga. – The Albany State University women's basketball program, led this season by Interim Head Coach Todd Triplett, has officially announced its 2025-26 schedule. The Golden Rams are set to compete in a challenging slate of non-conference and SIAC matchups as they prepare to make a statement in league play.
The season tips off on November 11 with an exhibition matchup on the road against Division I Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Lady Golden Rams will then open their home slate on November 25, hosting LeMoyne-Owen College before traveling to Wilberforce, Ohio, to face Central State on November 29. December will feature a balanced schedule, including road tests at Clark Atlanta (Dec. 4) and Johnson C. Smith (Dec. 15), along with home contests against Savannah State (Dec. 11) and Edward Waters (Dec. 13). Albany State will close out the calendar year with conference matchups at Allen (Dec. 17) and Benedict (Dec. 19).
Conference play heats up in January as the Golden Rams embark on a demanding stretch, traveling to LeMoyne-Owen (Jan. 3) and Lane College (Jan. 5) before returning home for Kentucky State (Jan. 8) and Central State (Jan. 10). Other marquee dates include road matchups with Miles (Jan. 14), Tuskegee (Jan. 19), and Fort Valley State (Jan. 25), along with a rivalry home-and-home series against Fort Valley State (home on Jan. 31).
February features a tough final push with trips to Claflin (Feb. 2), Savannah State (Feb. 5), Edward Waters (Feb. 7), and Spring Hill (Feb. 14), before closing the regular season with three consecutive home contests. Albany State will host Miles (Feb. 11), Tuskegee (Feb. 16), Allen (Feb. 19), and Benedict (Feb. 21) to round out the regular season slate.
The SIAC Women's Basketball Championship Tournament will run from February 25 to March 7, 2026, with Albany State aiming to carry its momentum into postseason play.
