This weekend promises to be one that fans won't want to miss. Both programs enter the contest with momentum, but only one will remain unbeaten in SIAC play when the final whistle sounds. The Yellow Jackets are riding back-to-back victories over Lane and Clark Atlanta, while Albany State looks to bounce back strong from its bye week after opening with wins against Shaw and Kentucky State and pushing Division I Florida A&M to the wire in Week 3.

Albany State will counter with its veteran leader under center, Isaiah Knowles, who threw for 201 yards and a touchdown in the team's close battle with FAMU. Knowles ranks third in the SIAC, averaging 224.7 passing yards per game, and has connected with a deep receiver corps led by Corey Petty and Xavier Herndon. The Golden Rams' balanced offense has been backed by the stout Dirty Blue Defense, which forced multiple turnovers in its early-season wins and continues to set the tone up front.

The Yellow Jackets enter this week fresh off a thrilling 49-38 win over Clark Atlanta. Running back Fabian Duncan carried the ball 46 times for 229 yards and three touchdowns, and he currently leads the SIAC with 153.5 rushing yards per game. Quarterback Jamir Dismukes complements Allen's ground attack with balance through the air, passing for 237 yards and three touchdowns last weekend—numbers that mirror his season average of 237.3 passing yards per game.

Saturday marks the ninth all-time meeting between the two teams. Allen currently holds a 4-2-2 series edge. The renewal of the series in recent years has been competitive, with Allen claiming a 39-27 win in 2023 before Albany State stormed back last October, racing out to a 20-0 start en route to a commanding 57-17 victory.

With Family, Friends, and Community Day set to pack the Coliseum stands, the Golden Rams are ready to defend their home turf and add another chapter to this growing conference rivalry. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m.
