Albany, GA – Albany State University proudly announces that Demetri Wilson, Coordinator of Football Operations, has been selected to participate in the prestigious 2025 NFL/NCAA Administrators Academy, taking place April 22–25, 2025, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Wilson's selection places him among a national group of rising professionals in the football industry who will engage in a transformative leadership and development experience. The NFL/NCAA Administrators Academy is designed to equip graduate assistants, interns, and entry-level administrators with the tools, connections, and insights necessary to grow into impactful leaders within collegiate and professional athletic organizations.
Throughout the four-day program, participants will engage in interactive sessions led by top executives from the NFL, NCAA, college conference offices, and NFL clubs, providing a comprehensive look into the modern sports business landscape. Attendees will gain firsthand exposure to real-world challenges and strategies in athletic administration, operations, and leadership.
After the academy, each participant will be paired with a mentor from the sports business industry—either within the NFL or collegiate athletics—who will guide them through a five-month mentorship experience. This structured program is designed to foster both professional growth and personal development, reinforcing the long-term mission of preparing the next generation of sports business leaders.
"Being selected for the NFL/NCAA Administrators Academy is a tremendous honor," said Wilson. "I'm thankful for this opportunity to learn from some of the most respected professionals in our industry."
In his role at Albany State, Wilson has played a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations and logistics of the Golden Rams Football program, contributing to its organization, efficiency, and overall success. His selection reflects not only his hard work and potential but also Albany State's commitment to developing professionals who make a meaningful impact both on and off the field.
