Box Score 2 Mobile, AL – The Albany State University women's tennis team closed out a stellar weekend in commanding fashion, posting two impressive victories on Day 3 of the SIAC Roundup #2. The Lady Golden Rams defeated Savannah State 7-0 in the morning session, then followed up with a 5-2 triumph over Clark Atlanta in the afternoon. With the pair of wins, Albany State finishes the tournament with a 5-1 record, reinforcing their status as one of the top teams in the conference.
In the morning matchup against Savannah State, Albany State displayed complete control from the first serve. The Lady Golden Rams swept the doubles matches to earn the opening point and never looked back. In singles play, they were equally dominant, securing all six courts to complete the 7-0 sweep over the Lady Tigers.
The momentum carried into the afternoon as Albany State faced a feisty Clark Atlanta team. Once again, the Lady Golden Rams set the tone in doubles, claiming victories on all three courts to earn the early advantage. In singles,

Julie Tungamirai, Olivia Eckler, and
Jenny Zapien each earned hard-fought wins, helping the Golden Rams secure the 5-2 win over the Lady Panthers and close the tournament on a high note.
With the strong showing, the Lady Golden Rams improve their overall SIAC Roundup #2 record to 5-1 and continue to build confidence heading into the final stretch of the season.
