Lady Golden Rams Set for SIAC Roundup #2 in Mobile, AL

Albany, GA – The Albany State women's tennis team is set to compete in the SIAC Roundup #2, held April 2-4 in Mobile, Alabama. After an impressive 5-1 finish in the first SIAC Roundup, the Lady Golden Rams (6-5) are eager to build on their momentum and continue their strong conference play.

In the first SIAC Roundup, the Lady Golden Rams dominated their competition, securing wins over Fort Valley State, Edward Waters, Benedict, Savannah State, and Clark Atlanta. Their only loss came in a hard-fought match against Tuskegee University, a team they will have a chance to face again in this upcoming tournament.

The Lady Golden Rams will take on a challenging lineup over the three-day tournament, facing several familiar opponents from their first-round matchups.

With an already strong start to SIAC play, the Lady Golden Rams will look to continue their dominance and position themselves as a top contender in the conference. A rematch with Tuskegee provides an opportunity for redemption, while battles against familiar foes like Benedict, Fort Valley State, and Savannah State will test their consistency and endurance.

ABOUT ALBANY STATE ATHLETICS
Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently field teams in 11 sports: women's volleyball, women's tennis, women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field, women's soccer, baseball, and football. All teams compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), except women's soccer, which participates in the Peach Belt Conference.
