The Golden Rams showed resilience and composure in crunch time, proving they are ready for another battle against a tough Tuskegee squad.

The #2 seed Golden Tigers (18-9, 14-5 SIAC) advanced to the quarterfinals after an 82-69 victory over Benedict College in the opening round. Led by D'Anthony Pennington, Kusamae Draper, and Kevin Sesberry and a balanced offensive attack, Tuskegee is a well-rounded team that will challenge the Golden Rams on both ends of the floor.

Series History – A Tight Battle
This will be the third meeting between the Golden Rams and Golden Tigers this season, with Albany State holding a 2-0 advantage after winning both regular-season matchups:
  • Nov. 13, 2024: ASU defeated Tuskegee 66-60 in the home opener.
  • Dec. 13, 2024: ASU claimed a 60-49 win in the YES USVI Tournament.

The all-time series dating back to Dec. 5, 2011, is tied at 11-11, setting the stage for a high-stakes rubber match with a spot in the SIAC Semifinals on the line.

A win would send Albany State to the SIAC Semifinals, keeping their championship hopes alive. The Golden Rams have already proven they can take down Tuskegee, but they will need to bring their best effort once again to survive and advance.
