Lady Golden Rams Travel to Middle Georgia for Non-Conference Matchup

Albany, GA - The Albany State Lady Golden Rams will hit the road for a non-conference battle against the Middle Georgia State Lady Knights on Thursday, February 6, at Morris Gymnasium in Cochran, GA. Tip-off is set for 5:30 PM as the two programs prepare to square off in their first meeting in over a decade. Fans unable to attend can watch the game live at Middle Georgia State YouTube or follow live stats at MGA Live Stats.

Albany State (6-12) enters the contest following a hard-fought 59-56 loss to rival Fort Valley State on February 1 during Winter Homecoming. The Lady Golden Rams fought back from a second-half deficit but ultimately came up short in the final minutes. Keyra Peterson led the way with a double-double performance, while Breana Griffin added 17 points off the bench. Despite the loss, Albany State showed resilience and will look to regain momentum on the road.

Middle Georgia (1-15) also comes into the matchup following a loss to Fort Valley State on February 4, as the Lady Knights fell 54-59. Like Albany State, they will be eager to respond with a strong performance in front of their home crowd.

With no recent history between the two programs, this game presents an opportunity for both teams to test themselves in non-conference play. The Lady Golden Rams will aim to control the pace, capitalize on their defensive pressure, and rely on their experienced leaders to secure a road victory.
