Albany State Volleyball Head Coach Verniece Graham Selected for NCAA Women Coaches Academy 2.0

Albany, GA – Albany State University is proud to announce that Head Volleyball Coach Verniece Graham has been selected to participate in the WeCOACH-NCAA Women Coaches Academy 2.0, an elite program designed to elevate coaching leadership and professional development. The next NCAA Academy 2.0 will take place May 18-20, 2025, in Denver, CO.

Coach Graham's selection is a prestigious honor, as the Academy 2.0 is exclusively for graduates of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy (WCA). Graham, who first attended the academy as an assistant coach, now returns at the helm of the Golden Rams program, showcasing her growth and dedication to coaching excellence.

The NCAA Women Coaches Academy 2.0 is a master-level learning experience, offering a small-class, multi-day transformational training to help coaches advance their leadership skills, strategic knowledge, and professional development. The program fosters a strong sense of community, passion, and renewed energy for coaching, giving participants the tools to take their programs to the next level.

Coach Graham expressed her gratitude and excitement for the opportunity:
"Grateful and honored to be selected for the NCAA Women's Coaches Academy 2.0 as a head coach. Reflecting on my journey since attending the Academy as an assistant coach in 2017, I've learned a lot that has influenced my attitude toward coaching and leadership. I'm excited to continue developing with a group of strong, motivated women in sports."

"Coach Graham represents everything that's right about women's college volleyball," said Director of Athletics Dr. Kristene Kelly. "She's a tireless worker, constantly striving to grow as a leader, and fully committed to developing her student-athletes on and off the court. This recognition is well deserved, and I know she will make the most of this opportunity."

Participation in Academy 2.0 requires an active WeCOACH Membership and builds upon the foundational lessons of the NCAA Women Coaches Academy. The experience will further equip Coach Graham with advanced leadership skills, mentorship strategies, and innovative coaching techniques, all of which will have a lasting impact on Albany State Volleyball.

Coach Graham's continued pursuit of professional excellence reinforces Albany State's commitment to providing top-tier coaching and leadership for its student-athletes.
