Albany, GA – The Albany State Lady Golden Rams were unable to find their rhythm offensively and fell to the Miles College Lady Bears, 63-45, on Tuesday evening inside The Arena at West Campus. With the loss, the Lady Golden Rams dropped to 4-7 overall and 2-4 in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play, while the Lady Bears improved to 8-3 overall and 5-1 in conference action.
Miles College jumped out to an early lead, outscoring Albany State 17-10 in the first quarter behind hot shooting from Kiyara Howard-Garza and Iemyiah Harris. The Lady Golden Rams struggled to convert offensively, shooting just 26.9% in the first quarter and 14.3% in the second quarter. At halftime, the Lady Bears led 33-22.
The Lady Golden Rams made a push in the third quarter, cutting into the deficit with improved offensive execution, led by
Khyla Ragins and
Milana Holmes. However, the Lady Bears continued to control the pace and outscored Albany State in the final period, 15-8, to seal the win.
Khyla Ragins led the Lady Golden Rams with 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Milana Holmes added 8 points and 9 rebounds, providing a strong presence in the paint. Miles College's Kiyara Howard-Garza finished with 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists, while Iemyiah Harris contributed 12 points and 4 rebounds.

The Lady Golden Rams will take a few days to regroup before returning to action on Saturday, January 11, when they host the Savannah State Lady Tigers for Military Appreciation Day. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM at The Arena on West Campus.
