Albany, GA – The Albany State Golden Rams will take on the Benedict College Tigers in the Bridge Builder Classic on Monday afternoon at the Mitchell Center in Mobile, Alabama. The Golden Rams (10-7, 7-3 SIAC) come into the matchup on a high note after a commanding 76-63 victory over Allen University on January 17. Behind standout performances from players like Shakur Poteat and Blaise Wallace, Albany State showcased their ability to control both ends of the court and execute in key moments.

Looking to carry their momentum into Monday's game, the Golden Rams aim to secure their first win over Benedict since March 4, 2020, when they earned a 67-62 victory. Albany State will also look to avenge their last meeting with the Tigers on February 12, 2024, in which Benedict dominated for an 86-51 win.

The Tigers (8-9, 4-6 SIAC) enter the contest after a tough 65-52 loss to Fort Valley State on January 18. Benedict has shown flashes of brilliance this season but has struggled with consistency, making Monday's matchup a pivotal opportunity to get back on track.
