Albany, GA - The Albany State Golden Rams men's basketball team is gearing up for a pivotal SIAC weekend road trip as they take on Kentucky State and Central State. The Golden Rams (2-3, 1-2 SIAC) are looking to bounce back from a tough 95-79 loss to Spring Hill on December 2 and secure crucial conference victories.
Albany State vs. Kentucky State
Albany State will first face the Kentucky State Thorobreds on Saturday, December 7, immediately following the women's game in Frankfort, KY. Kentucky State (4-3, 2-2 SIAC) enters the matchup after a 76-61 loss to Tuskegee on December 4 and will be seeking a win in front of their home crowd. The last meeting between Albany State and Kentucky State saw the Golden Rams dominate with an 84-56 victory on December 18, 2023.

Albany State vs. Central State
The Golden Rams will then travel to Wilberforce, OH, to face the Central State Marauders on Monday, December 9, immediately following the women's game. Central State (3-4, 2-1 SIAC) comes into the contest riding the momentum of a thrilling 74-72 victory over Savannah State on December 2. Albany State will look to avenge their narrow 57-58 loss to Central State in their last meeting on December 16, 2023.
This weekend's games offer a key opportunity for Albany State to make their mark in the conference standings.
