Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Golden Rams Fall to Miles College in SIAC Matchup

Fairfield, AL - The Albany State Golden Rams men's basketball team suffered a tough 68-48 loss to the Miles College Bears on Saturday, November 23, at Knox-Windham Gym in Birmingham, AL. With the loss, the Golden Rams drop to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in SIAC play.

The Golden Rams started the game strong, jumping out to an early 8-0 lead behind Blaise Wallace's dominance in the paint. However, Miles quickly responded, utilizing efficient three-point shooting and a deep bench to take control. Albany State trailed 32-23 at halftime.

Despite efforts to close the gap in the second half, the Bears extended their lead with a balanced offensive attack. Miles shot 44.8% from beyond the arc, sinking 13 three-pointers that proved too much for Albany State to overcome.

Blaise Wallace led the Golden Rams with 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting, including two three-pointers. He also added three rebounds. Shakur Poteat contributed 14 points, connecting on three shots from beyond the arc and adding two steals.
