Albany, GA – The Albany State University women's soccer team wrapped up their final home match of the 2024 season with a 1-7 loss to Georgia College & State University (GCSU) at ASU Soccer Stadium on Wednesday night.
The defeat dropped the Lady Golden Rams to 1-13 overall and 0-7 in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC), while the Lady Bobcats improved to 6-6-3, 2-3-2 PBC.
Georgia College wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, striking early at 10:02. The Lady Bobcats added four more goals in the first half, commanding a 4-0 lead into halftime. The second half saw Albany State get on the board when
Reilley Bain scored in the 60th minute, marking her third goal of the season. However, GCSU responded with two more goals, including one in the final minute, to seal the 7-1 victory.

The Lady Golden Rams will now embark on their final stretch of the season on the road. Up next, Albany State will face Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL, on Saturday, October 26. The match is set to kick off at 3:00 p.m.
