Albany, GA - The Albany State volleyball team secured a 3-1 victory over Clark Atlanta in an exciting home match at the Jones Brothers HPER Complex. With this win, the Lady Golden Rams improve their season record to 11-6 overall and 9-2 in SIAC play, while the Panthers fall to 7-9 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
Albany State was led by
Jarianis Perez, who recorded an impressive 20 kills and 14 digs.
Kaylin Teasley added nine kills, three aces, and five blocks, while
Sydney Melton contributed eight kills, one ace, and 11 digs. The team also benefited from strong defensive efforts, with
Talia Smith tallying 10 digs, and solid playmaking from
MiMi Harris, who dished out 17 assists, along with
Natalie Onozie's 15 assists.

The Lady Golden Rams now head back on the road for a weekend series, beginning with a Friday matchup against Savannah State on Oct. 25 at 6 p.m., followed by a game at Edward Waters in Jacksonville, FL, on Saturday, Oct. 26, also at 6 p.m.

Albany State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II-level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently field teams in 11 sports: women's volleyball, women's tennis, women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's track and field, women's soccer, baseball, and football. All teams compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), except women's soccer, which participates in the Peach Belt Conference.
