For the second time this season, the Albany State Golden Rams tennis team defeated the Georgia Southwestern University Hurricanes. The Golden Rams defeated the Hurricanes (5-2) on Tuesday afternoon on Senior Day at the ASU West Campus Tennis Complex.
The Golden Rams improved to (17-6) overall and remain (12-4) in the SIAC. The Hurricanes fell to (1-7) overall and remain (0-3) in the Peach Belt Conference.
In doubles play,
Sumana Panauganti and
Bianca Leao won their match (6-3).
In singles,
Natalya Ogunwale won her match (6-4 & 6-2).
Asia Raulerson won her match (3-6, 7-6 & 1-0).
Bianca Leao won (6-1 & 6-4).
Carla Sorroche defeated her opponent (6-2 & 6-3).
Sumana Panauganti won her match (6-1 & 6-0).
