The Albany State women lost (75-67) to the Spring Hill College Badgers on Saturday afternoon at the ASU West Campus Arena.
The Golden Rams couldn't hang on to a late lead and ultimately lost to the Badgers after being outscored (10-2) in overtime.
With the loss, the Golden Rams women fell to (0-6) overall and (0-1) in the SIAC while the Spring Hill College women earned their first win of the season as they improved to (1-3) overall and (1-0) in the conference.
The Golden Rams shot 37.3% from the field, 22.7% from the 3 point line and 70.6% from the free throw line.
Recently named SIAC Newcomer of the Week,
Keyra Peterson, led the Golden Rams with 15 points and 9 rebounds.
Elisa Saffold also finished with 15 points.
The Badgers shot 39.3% from the field, 41.2% from the 3 point line and 66.7% from the free throw line.
The Badgers had 4 players to finish in double figures. Marta Duda finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Yolanda Nelson and Kellyn Hunter both contributed with 12 points each. Claudia Garrido chipped in with 11 points for the Badgers.
The Golden Rams will host Tuskegee University at the ASU West Campus Arena on Monday, November 27.
