The Albany State Golden Rams women's basketball team lost (62-53) to the Elizabeth City State Vikings in the 2022 SIAC/ CIAA Basketball Challenge Friday, on November 11, in North Carolina.  The Golden Rams are now (0-1) on the season while the Vikings are (1-0). 
 
Juanisha Black led the Golden Rams with 13 points and 11 rebounds.  Kashay Hankerson contributed with 11 points and 3 assists.  Milana Holmes finished with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists for the Golden Rams.
 
Akyia King led the Vikings with 13 points and 5 rebounds.  Maryam Hashim contributed with 11 points and 4 rebounds.
 
The Golden Rams shot 18/48 (37.5%) from the field in the game.  The Golden Rams connected on 3/14 (21.4%) from the 3-point line.  The Golden Rams also made 14/27 (51.9%) attempts from the free throw line in the game.
 
The Golden Rams will play Johnson C. Smith at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 12.  Albany State and Johnson C. Smith last played on Saturday, November 13.  On that day, Johnson C. Smith won (67-56).
