ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany State University (ASU) baseball team collected both non-conference doubleheader victories over the Badger of Spring Hill College (SHC) on Saturday afternoon at Golden Rams Field.
The Golden Rams used a 3-run 3
rd inning and a 2-run homer in the 5
th inning to take the opener 6-4 and scored 4 in the 4
th inning of Game 2 to sweep the series with a 5-3 decision.
In the first game, short stop Wyatt Setain had two hits including a homerun while
Lachlan Ross singled to center field to plate two run in the bottom of the 3
rd inning.
Michael Reddick collected the win on the mound with six innings, four hits allowed, three walks and seven strikeouts.
Setain collected another home run in the nightcap.
Chase Karn, Wyatt Setain,
Lachlan Ross, and
Chasen Roulhac all finished with recording a hit. Johnathan Henry collected the win on the mound for the Golden Rams pitching four innings only allowing four hits, one walk and one strikeout.
The Golden Rams will return to the field on Wednesday, March 10
th as they travel to Montevallo, Alabama for a doubleheader matchup against the University of Montevallo. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. (cst).
