MOBILE, Ala. – The Albany State University men's basketball team secured a 101-92 victory over the Spring Hill College on Friday night at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
Both teams were tied at 47 at halftime, but ASU used an early run in the second half to build out a double-digit lead that they maintained to take the 101-92 victory.
Five Golden Rams reached double-digits in scoring with
Jordan Simpson leading the way with a double-double performance with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
Joshua Jerome added 22 points.
Malik Parker finished the contest with 19 points.
Travis Baker and
Jarmarcis Nunally both added 14 points each respectively.
The Golden Rams Rams shot a 58.7% (37-63) overall, including 50% (9-18) from 3-point distance. Albany State was 72% (18-25) on their free throw attempts and lost 11 turnovers to five steals by SHC.
Albany State will return home to close out the season as they host the Badgers of Spring Hill College on Sunday at 2 p.m.
