ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany State University women's basketball team returns to the court on February 22nd as they travel to Columbia, South Carolina to face Allen University. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.  
 
The women's basketball team enters the contest (0-7) falling to the Lady Tigers of Savannah State University 74-36 on Saturday, February 20th.

Kiera York led the Golden Rams, now 0-7, with 12 points. 

Bria Gibbs led the Lady Tigers, now 3-1, with 13 points. Azhana Maxwell added 12 points, while Autumn Westmoreland scored 14 points.

Savannah State had a 40-16 lead at the half. The Golden Rams added 11 points in the third quarter to cut SSU's lead 59-27. The Lady Tigers then added 15 points in the final quarter of the contest to take the 74-36 victory . The Golden Rams scored six points off of turnovers. Albany State collected 35 rebounds and secured six second chance points.
