ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany State University men's basketball team returns to the court on Tuesday, February 25th as they host the Maroon Tigers of Morehouse College for a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.  
 
The Golden Rams enters the contest (15-12, 12-6 SIAC) falling 65-58 in a close contest to Benedict College on Saturday, February 25th.
 
Kamil Brown led the Golden Rams with 21 points and seven rebounds. Titus Burns contributed 13 points. Senior Randy McClure rounded out the double-digit scoring with 12 points and six rebounds. 

Green led the way for the Tigers, scoring a season-high 26 points and bringing down a season-high 13 rebounds. Deon Joyner added nine points and seven rebounds to the contest.

Benedict pulled out to an early 15-5 lead seven minutes into the first half. After Albany State closed the gap to 22-17 with seven minutes left until the break, the Tigers went on an 11-0 run to extend their lead to 16 points.

Benedict extended their lead to a game-high 20 points to begin the second half. In the next 11 minutes, Albany State outscored the Tigers, 24-12, to close the gap to 49-41 with 8:45 left in the game.

The Golden Rams closed within five points, 60-55 with 44 seconds remaining, but Benedict made five-of-six free throws down the stretch to secure the win.

Benedict held a 32-14 advantage in the paint.
