COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Albany State University women's tennis team opened the rain-delayed Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Roundup Tournament yielding a 1-2 decision on Friday.

The Golden Rams took a 7-0 victory over Lane College, then fell 6-0 victory to the Lady Panthers of Clark Atlanta University before closing out the day with a 5-0 loss to host Benedict College.

Albany State will continue the roundup on Saturday with matches against Savannah State and Spring Hill.
