ALBANY, Ga. | The Albany State football team signed 16 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, the first day players could sign during the Spring 2019 signing period.
The Golden Rams inked five during the early period in December, bringing their 2019 signing class total to 21.
Head Coach Gabe Giardina was proud of the haul his staff was able to bring in: "I am extremely pleased with how hard the assistant coaches worked to put together what I feel is the best class we have signed during my time at ASU."
Getting better up front was a focal point during this recruiting cycle, and Coach Giardina feels his team did just that. "We addressed a lot of needs especially on the offensive and defensive lines," Giardina said. "We got bigger at those positions and added depth. We also improved our overall team speed which is key to competing in our conference."
