SECOND HALF RUN SENDS GOLDEN RAMS PAST CAU

ALBANY, Ga. | Albany State played the final game of a four game homestand Monday night when they hosted the Panthers of Clark Atlanta.

After building a 29-25 halftime lead, Clark Atlanta pushed the advantage to seven just two minutes into the second half.

Albany State proceeded to go on a 10-2 run to take a one point lead highlighted by a driving layup from Randy McClure.

CAU's Jalen Mitchell nailed a jumper the next trip down to give the Panthers the lead back, but McClure answered with a three to give ASU the lead that they would never surrender.

McClure finished with 20 points for Albany State (10-14, 9-5). Tyrell Williams added 12 points and Mario Young had 11 points.

Napoleon Harris had a game-high 14 rebounds.

Shelvick Henry led Clark Atlanta (11-10, 8-6) with 21 points.

ASU will travel for the first time in two weeks on Saturday, February 9th, when they head to Columbia, South Carolina for a showdown with Benedict College. Tip off is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
