ALBANY STATE TAKES DOWN FORT VALLEY

ALBANY, Ga. | Albany State hosted Fort Valley State on Saturday in their final division game of the season.

The Golden Rams defense smothered FVSU, holding the visitors to 26 percent shooting from the field and out rebounding the Wildcats 49-31.

Alexandria James paced Albany State (9-17, 8-7) with 14 points on 6-for-8 shooting. Uchemdirim Ibebunjo added 11 points (3-for-4) and eight rebounds.

Gemiya Bowman pulled in a game0high nine rebounds.

Nola Carter led Fort Valley State (5-19, 5-11) with 10 points.

The Golden Rams will host Girl Scout Night on Thursday, February 21st, as they take on Miles College. Game time is set for 5:30 pm.
