RECAP
 
JACKSON, Tenn. – Napoleon Harris and Randy McClure did not disappoint the fans as they led the Golden Rams with (17) points each respectively McClure added rebounds (8) for the Golden Rams to improve to 5-7 this season. 
It took a few minutes for ASU to get rolling offensively in the opening minutes. Joshua Jerome scored the first points for ASU with 18:06 on the clock to give ASU a 2-0 lead. ASU then advantaged its lead, capped by a basket by Titus Burns, to pull ahead 13-7. Albany State continued to add points to the board to bring the score 32-25 with 2:20 left in the opening half.
Albany State led 30-36 at halftime.      
The Golden Rams continued to control the game, 49-36, with 13:37 to play when Randy McClure added a pair from the free throw line, but it wasn't until the 8:37 mark that Lane would try to cut the Golden Rams lead 59-42. Albany State then answered bringing the score 73-66, with 2:22 to go. The Golden Rams then added its final point from the free throw line to cruise to the 78-72 victory.
ASU continues to improve its long range shooting. The Golden Rams connected on 7 of 21 (33.3 percent). The Golden Rams made 11 free throws (18) and both teams ended the contest colleting 41 rebounding each.
Lane College (5-5) was led by Tyler Henry with 16 points and grabbed two rebounds.  
 
Albany State will host the Thorobreds of Kentucky State University for a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup on Thursday, Dec. 19. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
