ALBANY, Ga. | Albany State concluded their regular season on Friday as they hosted the Tigers of Savannah State University. The Golden Rams came out on top by a score of 3-0 (25-7, 25-13, 25-22). 

With the victory, Albany State (17-12, 14-3) clinches the SIAC East regular season title and will be the number one seed from their division at the conference volleyball championship tournament. 

Lenee Blot led the way with six kills for the Golden Rams followed byKamryn Lane who finished with five kills. Kaelyn Jordan added four kills. Tomiah Jones had 15 assists and Jannai Cheeks had six aces.

Aldarondo Valeria had seven kills for Savannah State (8-16, 6-11) and Ellana Nelllis had a game-high 14 digs.

Albany State now turns to the postseason where they will compete in the 2019 SIAC Volleyball Championship Tournament. The event will take place at the Upward Star Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina and will begin on Monday, November 18th, and conclude on Wednesday, November 20th. The Golden Rams will play LeMoyne-Owen, the number four seed out of the West, on the first day at 10:00 am on Court 1. In their lone matchup this season, Albany State defeated the Magicians 3-0 at the SIAC Crossover.
