ALBANY, Ga. | The Golden Rams of Albany State hosted the Tigers of Benedict College on Saturday at The Arena at West Campus.
In a game that saw the hosts lead for all but roughly five seconds, ASU imposed their will down low throughout the matchup, outscoring the visitors 60-30 in the paint and outrebounding their opponents 30-16.Â
The Golden Rams also made the most of their second chances, outscoring the Tigers 25-14 in that category.
Albany State (8-13, 7-4) was efficient from the floor all afternoon, shooting 56 percent from the field (32-of-57) and registering a pair of 20-point scorers.Â
Jared Harrington led the way with 23 points. Tyrell Williams finished with a double-double, 21 points and 14 rebounds.
Randy McClure added 17 points while Napoleon Harris chipped in 13 points.Â
Josiah Perry led Benedict (3-16, 2-9) with 15 points and seven rebounds.
The Golden Rams are again at home on Monday night, January 28th when they host Paine College. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
