SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Albany State University women's soccer team fell to Converse College, 1-0, on Saturday, Sept. 22.
The match went scoreless until the 86
th minute when Converse senior Claudia Coffin netted the game-winning goal for the Valkyries.
Abby Whiteside finished with seven saves against Converse. ASU had a total of 11 shots including three by
Sydney Bishop, two from Roberta DaSilva Lima,
Haley Kincheloe and
Alexus Lawson.
Brittanie Evans and
Marisol Estrada also took one shot each.
ASU (1-5) will host Lincoln Memorial University at home on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 4 p.m.
