Golden Rams Drop First Match of SIAC Tennis Roundup

Box Score MOBILE, AL- The Albany State women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Spring Hill College Thursday morning at the SIAC Tennis Roundup.

Spring Hill moves their overall record to 7-8 while Albany State slips to 5-13 on the year.

The Badgers took five of six singles matches and two of the three doubles matchups to earn the win. Madison Artigues took the number one singles over Latoya Boyd 6-1, 6-0. Artigues was also victorious paired with Rebecca Pearlman in doubles play over Boyd and Samantha Heard by a score of 8-1.

Darien Davis defeated Omega Davison 6-4, 6-2 and in doubles play the ASU duo of Lindsay Ashford and Jordon Foston topped Alexandria Rayford and Jasmine Agadzi 8-4.

Rain cancelled the rest of Thursday's play at the roundup. Matches are slated to resume on Friday at the Mobile Tennis Center.
