ASU TENNIS POSTS WINNING MARK AT SIAC ROUNDUP

Golden Rams Pick Up Four Wins at Cross Division Event

COLUMBIA, SC- The Albany State University women's tennis teams went 4-3 this past weekend at the SIAC Roundup.

ASU opening the weekend dropping its first two matches to Clark-Atlanta and Benedict before topping Lane College 9-0 for their first win of the season. On day two, the Golden Rams went 3-0 with victories over Tuskegee 5-4, Fort Valley 5-1 and LeMoyne-Owen College 5-0.

On the final day the Golden Rams fell to Spring Hill 8-1.

Lindsay Ashford and Jordan Foston led the charge against Fort Valley State as both captured their singles outings 6-0, 6-0 and teamed up to capture their doubles match 8-2.

Darien Davis also had a solid weekend for the Golden Rams, picking up her first two singles wins of the year against Lane and LeMoyne-Owen.

Albany State will return to action at the Spring Break Fest in Hilton Head, South Carolina March 6-9^th.
