ALBANY, Ga. | Albany State played host to Palm Beach Atlantic University on Wednesday night.
Facing a huge halftime deficit, the Golden Rams charged back in the second half before ultimately falling to the visitors, 58-52.
Trailing 35-17 at the half, ASU shot 46% from the field in the second and cut the deficit to one, 51-50, with 3:41 remaining in the game. PBA ended the game on a 7-2 run to close out the victory.
Tyrell Williams paced Albany State (3-7) with 12 points on 4-of-4 shooting while pulling down seven rebounds.
Jules Jasmin had a game-high 21 points for Palm Beach Atlantic (3-7) and pulled in eight rebounds.
The Golden Rams travel to Americus on Thursday to take on Georgia Southwestern State. ASU won the previous matchup this season, 68-65. Game time is set for 7:00 pm.
