ALBANY, Ga. | Albany State hosted Columbus State in Day 2 of the SIAC-Peach Belt Challenge on Saturday. The Golden Rams fell to the Cougars, 64-54.
After building a three point halftime lead, ASU was outscored 25-8 in the third period en route to the 10-point loss.
Columbus State pulled down 31 offensive rebounds and converted those into 18 second chance points. Albany State managed just two offensive rebounds and to second chance points.
Alexandria James led Albany State (0-5) with 11 points. James was 7-for-8 from the free throw line. Uchemdirim Ibebunjo and Shantrell Holland collected five rebounds apiece for ASU.
Leeaysia Williamson had a game-high 13 points for Columbus State (2-0). Tatiana Wayne added 12 points.
The Golden Rams host Georgia College on Tuesday, November 20th, at the Arena at West Campus. Tipoff is set for 5:30 pm.
