ALBANY, Ga. | Alexandria James scored a game-high 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting but it was not enough as Albany State dropped a home contest to Georgia College on Tuesday night.
Albany State (0-6) stymied the Georgia College attack, holding the Bobcats to 34 percent from the floor. However, the Golden Rams struggled from long-range, making just 2-of-16 shots from beyond the arc.
Shantrell Holland added 12 points on an efficient night going 4-for-5 from the field. Tyra Thompson had a game-high eight rebounds for ASU.
Sydney Cleveland led Georgia College (1-4) with 15 points.
The Golden Rams begin conference play on Saturday, November 24th, when they host Central State at the Arena at West Campus. Albany State fell to the Marauders in their meeting last season, 77-74. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
