VALDOSTA, Ga. | The Golden Rams were back in action on Saturday, taking on the host of Valdosta State University Invitational. Albany State fell to the 23^rd ranked Blazers, 65-53.
 
ASU held a 45-42 lead after three periods of play, but Valdosta State outscored the Golden Rams 23-8 in the final quarter to take the victory. Albany State out shot the Blazers, 35%-32%, but free throws were the difference in this game. VSU made 19 free throws while ASU converted on just eight of their attempts.

Tyra Thompson led Albany State (0-2) with 12 points and six rebounds. Passion Thomas and Alexandria James posted nine points each for the Golden Rams.

Kayla Bonilla had a game-high 19 points for Valdosta State (2-0) while Kendra Green pulled down 12 rebounds.
 
Albany State will make their home debut on Monday, November 12^th, as they Host the University of West Georgia. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm at The Arena at West Campus.
