VALDOSTA, Ga. | The Golden Rams were back in action on Saturday, taking on the host of Valdosta State University Invitational. Albany State fell to the 23
rd ranked Blazers, 65-53.

ASU held a 45-42 lead after three periods of play, but Valdosta State outscored the Golden Rams 23-8 in the final quarter to take the victory. Albany State out shot the Blazers, 35%-32%, but free throws were the difference in this game. VSU made 19 free throws while ASU converted on just eight of their attempts.
Tyra Thompson led Albany State (0-2) with 12 points and six rebounds.
Passion Thomas and
Alexandria James posted nine points each for the Golden Rams.
Kayla Bonilla had a game-high 19 points for Valdosta State (2-0) while Kendra Green pulled down 12 rebounds.

Albany State will make their home debut on Monday, November 12
th, as they Host the University of West Georgia. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm at The Arena at West Campus.
