AIKEN, South Carolina | Albany State traveled to South Carolina on Wednesday for a makeup contest with the Pacers of USC Aiken. The game was postponed last month in leu of Hurricane Florence making landfall on the East Coast. The Pacers took down the Golden Rams in straight sets, 25-14, 25-15, 25-11.
ASU (5-12) struggled throughout the night managing a hitting percentage of just -.089 and collecting only 14 total kills. Keonna Hobbs and Yadira Lyons registered four kills each for the Golden Rams. Ciara Chapman was credited with 13 assists.
Kayla Duggan led USC Aiken (13-2) with eight kills.
Albany State returns home on Thursday, October 4th, for a matchup with SIAC foe Clark Atlanta. This will be the first of two contests this season with the Panthers. The Golden Rams split with CAU last season; each team winning their home contest. Game time is set for 6:00 pm EST.
