PANTHERS TOP GOLDEN RAMS

LBANY, Ga. | Albany State returned home on Thursday and played host to the Panthers of Clark Atlanta. In their first of two matchups this regular season, Clark Atlanta topped the Golden Rams in straight sets (31-29, 25-21, 25-22).
 
Albany State (5-13, 5-4) had one of their best hitting games of the season (.250). Unfortunately, it came on a night where Clark Atlanta posted a season-high .305 hitting percentage.
 
Jannai Cheeks had a team-high 14 kills while Keonna Hobbs added 10 kills. Ciara Chapman registered all 32 assists for the Golden Rams.
 
Ashley Elmore had a game-high 15 kills for Clark Atlanta (6-7, 6-3). Sierra Nelson recorded 32 assists.
 
The Golden Rams host Benedict in a conference matchup on Saturday, October 6th, at the HPER Complex. Game time is scheduled for 3 pm EST.
