SPRING HILL COLLEGE DEFEATS LADY GOLDEN RAMS 55-49

ALBANY- Spring Hill College defeated the Albany State University Lady Golden Rams 55-49 Thursday evening at West Campus Arena.
For the third time this season the Lady Golden Rams were held to under 30% shooting in a game. Additionally their 49 points represented their third lowest scoring output of the year. ASU's shooting woes began in the second quarter where they were held to a season low six points (in a quarter) making only 3 of 23 attempts from the floor (13%).
The Badgers took control of the game after halftime, building their largest lead of the game, a 13 point advantage (39-26) after a three-pointer by Jennifer Clark at the 5:25 mark.
Spring Hill was led by Jewel Hill who finished with a game high 17 points. Tiffany Valentine put a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds as the Badgers move to 8-6 overall and 2-3 in the SIAC.
Kayla Green and
Elesha Foster both tallied double digits for ASU with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Foster finished 11 boards to notch her fourth double-double of the year.
Albany State (9-9, SIAC 5-3) will return to action at home against Clark-Atlanta University on January 13
th. Game time is scheduled for 1:00pm at West Campus Arena.
