CLARK-ATLANTA MEN CRUISE TO 87-60 WIN OVER ASU
Walker Nets Season High in Rams' Home Setback

ALBANY- Clark-Atlanta University used a big scoring second half to roll past Albany State University 87-60 Saturday afternoon at West Campus Arena.
Clark-Atlanta placed four scorers in double figures and were led by 23 points courtesy of Jamal Pollydore.
Tylen Walker finished with a season high 22 points in the loss and was the only Golden Ram to net double figures on the afternoon. Walker's 14 first half points led the charge for the Rams as they battled back from an eleven point deficit after a 3-pointer from Michael Vigilance at the 6:24 mark. ASU chipped away at the Panthers' lead and with back-to-back treys by Jason Snearl and
Juwan High, the latter coming as the first half expired, the Rams trailed 40-35 at the break.
In the second half the Panthers (15-1, SIAC 9-0) caught fire from beyond the three-point arc, connecting on 6 of 8 attempts (75%). Overall CAU shot 50% overall from the field and finished the game at 63% from three-point range.
CAU, who led the entire way (exception a 9-9 tie in the opening half) used a 13-4 run midway through the second half and after one of two free throws from Shelvick Henry, the Panthers held a 63-45 advantage. With 7:09 left CAU led 72-51 the point spread remained at 20+ the rest of the way.
After playing to within five points (40-35) of Clark-Atlanta in the first half, the Golden Rams were held to -10 points in the second stanza with a 25 point output.
Albany State will host Morehouse College on Monday afternoon at 3pm at West Campus Arena.
