Lady Golden Rams Continue Strong Play at SIAC Crossover

BIRMINGHAM, AL- Chelona Holmes matched her season high of 12 kills as the Albany State Lady Golden Rams topped Tuskegee in three sets, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20 Saturday morning at the CrossPlex.

The win extends the Lady Golden Rams' win streak to four games and lifts ASU's record to 6-5 overall with a 6-2 record against SIAC opponents.

Holmes last reached 12 kills on September 17th in a 5 set win over Benedict. Against the Golden Tigers she finished with a double-double with 10 digs and added a service ace to her stat line. Jalesia McClenton also put forth a double digit effort in digs with 11 and Jahkishma Soto helped paced the offense with 26 assists.

Crystal Hall led the way for Tuskegee with 10 kills while Zahria Radford chipped in with 19 digs.
