Lady Rams fall to Benedict in SIAC Championships

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga.- The Albany State women's tennis team made its first appearance in the league's postseason for the first time since 2013. Unfortunately, ASU's title hopes ended in the semifinals with a 5-1 loss to top-seeded Benedict in the 2017 SIAC Women's Tennis Championships.

With the loss, the Lady Rams (6-19) will face Tuskegee University in the third-place match on Wednesday, April 19 at 1 p.m. Benedict advances to the championship match where it will face Clark Atlanta.

Both matches will be played at the Peachtree Tennis Center.
