Lady Rams defeated by Huntingdon College

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- The Albany State women's tennis team saw its losing streak extend to eight games after its trip to Montgomery, Ala. ASU lost to Huntingdon College by the score of 6-3.

With the loss, the Lady Rams are now 3-12 overall.

In doubles action, Huntingdon swept all three matches Latoya Boyd and Torian Foston lost to Dusty Catala and Makiatt Bastos 8-0, Keona Livatt and Samantha Heard were defeated by Condire McBroom and Clayton Waring 8-1 and Alexis Ruff and Alani Gauthier fell to Jordan Fleming and Virginia Gaston 8-1.

The Lady Rams won three of the singles matches. Boyd defeated Kacey Stephens (6-2, 7-6), Livatt beat Gaston (6-4, 6-3) and Gauthier bested Diamond Branch (6-0, 6-0).

Albany State will return to action on March 30 when it travels to Mobile, Ala. to participation in the second SIAC Roundup. The three-day event will be hosted by Spring Hill College.
