Albany State drops first match to Agnes Scott

DECATUR, Ga.- The Albany State women's tennis team open its season with a tough defeat in the road. ASU was defeated 9-0 by Agnes Scott College.

Playing in the sixth spot, Alani Gauthier had the best performance individually for the Lady Rams. She lost to Camille Wilson 6-2 and 6-1. LaToya Boyd and Torian Foston recorded the best doubles performance. The duo lost to Anastasia Bennett and Olivia Rivas by an 8-3 tally.

Albany State will return to action in the SIAC Roundup Tournament, which will hosted by Benedict College on Feb. 23-25 in Columbia, S.C.
