JACKSON, TN- Jonathan Henderson drained a three-pointer with in the waning seconds of overtime to give the Albany State Golden Rams a 73-72 win over Lane College.

It took the last game of 2017, but the Golden Rams finally captured their first victory of the season on what was Henderson's first and only basket of the game.

Albany State got a boost when Tylen Walker hit a three-pointer to make the score 72-70 in favor of the Dragons. After Lane's next offensive trip came up empty, Henderson's go head three gave ASU their first and only lead of the overtime session, and the Golden Rams found their way to the win column.

The Golden Rams trailed 29-25 at the intermission but went on to shoot a respectable 43% from the field in the second half and remained steady from the charity stripe hitting 14 of 20. On the other side the Dragons shot at a nearly 60% clip but faltered from the free throw line, missing 9 of their 18 attempts.

Albany State trailed by as many as nine in the second half and faced a 64-57 deficit with 1:50 left in regulation. The Golden Rams outscored Lane College 11-2 over that final span, and Jayson Snearl's offensive rebound and put-back with 15 seconds left sent the game to overtime.
