Game Day RAM-blings- Albany State Football @Southeastern University

The Albany State Golden Rams and Southeastern University Fire are set to meet for the first time in history in Lakeland, Fla. at Victory Field.

ASU is still looking for it first win of the season after suffering a 28-18 loss to SIAC rival Tuskegee in Week 2. Quarterback Caleb Edmonds completed 18-of-35 passes for 216 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Michael Green, Jr. was the recipient of four of those passes for 74 yards and recorded the touchdown, which was the first of his career. McKinley Hambersham rushed seven times for 68 yards.

On defense, safety Ryan Selby led the way with nine tackles, while Emmauel Brown and Grover Stewart added eight tackles apiece. Stewart also had two sacks for a loss of 23 yards. Monte Taylor added seven tackles and a sack.

Southeastern is coming off of a 65-21 victory in its home opener against Virginia University Lynchburg. The offense, which struggled on the road at Faulkner, lit up the scoreboard and totaled 686 yards of total offense. The ground game was the big positive, racking up 404 yards on 49 carries. Backs Jarrell Reynolds and Chris Bryant both eclipsed the 100 yard mark in the contest.

On defense, the Fire once again recorded key takeaways to stop drives. For a second week in a row, Mark Myers picked off a pair of passes.
