JASPER, Ala.- A quartet of players recorded two RBIs apiece to lead the Albany State women's softball team to a 9-1 victory over LeMoyne-Owen College in the 2016 SIAC Women's Softball Crossover. With the win, the Lady Rams improve to 8-15 overall and 6-3 in league play.

Albany State took control of the game in the bottom of the second inning.
Toni Coleman opened the stanza with a homerun to give her team a 1-0 lead.
Jakeidra Pruitt then belted a single to score
Ambrionna Atkism, and the Lady Rams led 2-0.

ASU increased its lead in the bottom of the third inning thanks to
Malea Maye. She hit a two-run homer to put the Lady Rams ahead 4-0.

LOC scored its only run in the top of the fifth inning to cut the Lady Magicians' deficit to 4-1. Albany State answered with a barrage of runs of its own in the bottom of the inning.
Drinai Gambrell and
Keyanna Dawson each scored on an error to generate a 6-1 score.

After that miscue,
Danika Stevens scored on another error, and the Lady Rams led 7-1.
Taylor Clemens hit a single to send
Zorria Mann and Coleman home to end the game.

Stevens, Maye, Coleman and Clemens each recorded two RBIs. The team had six total hits and committed one error.

Albany State will return to action today when it plays Tuskegee University in the crossover event.
